Happy Holidays

It's the most wonderful time of year! New York has some of my joyous sites and merry events. Here are just some of the holiday-themed festivities coming up.

Jolly Olly Holiday Market

On Saturday, December 23 from noon to 7pm, Olly Olly Market (601 West 26th St) is partnering with Grand Bazaar for a special holiday shopping event, the Jolly Olly Holiday Market.

There, you can shop one-of-a-kind vintage finds, handmade artwork and more from all-local vendors including Once Vintage, Angeliques Goodys, Cloud 9 Favors and Butterfly Knit by Lisa.

Pizza Zoo

The self-proclaimed “biggest pizza party” in NYC is back for its 9th jolly Christmas edition, taking over the Harbor NYC Rooftop (621 W 46th St) for the first time. On Saturday, December 23, the 21-and-over party will kick off at 3pm, with live music, a two-hour open bar until 5pm and unlimited slices of good old New York ‘za to over 1,500 rowdy holiday revelers.

Yiddish New York Festival

Yiddish New York, the nation's largest annual festival of Yiddish music, culture, and language, is back December 23-28! With both in-person and virtual elements, you can check out concerts, lectures, Yiddish classes, films, klezmer workshops, theater, and dance, as well as programs for kids and teens from the Yiddish world's leading scholars and performers.

Cirque du Soleil: 'Twas the Night Before

The mammoth Québécois neocirque troupe revives its first holiday-themed production, an extended riff on Clement Clarke Moore's 1823 poem "A Visit from St. Nicholas." Writer-director James Hadley's show follows a young girl who is yanked, on Christmas Eve, into a magical world where acrobatics and elaborate spectacle take the place of those boring old dancing sugar plums.

However you celebrate the season, we wish you a happy holiday and healthy New Year!
